Ministries at Armor

Childrens Sunday School

Armor uses a Sunday School Curriculum by One Story Ministries for Children Pre-K through 12th grade. In addition to the curriculum, kids at Armor get the opportunity to memorize the First Catechism (Pre-K and K-2nd), the Westminster Shorter Catechism (3rd-6th, Junior High, and High School) as well as scripture verses. For K-2 and 3-6 grade classes, the memory verses have been put to music to help make memory work fun.

In this way, Armor seeks to come alongside our parents to assist them in instructing their children in the word of God. In this way, by God’s grace, we pray, we are obediently building up His church and investing in the longevity of Armor Bible Church.

Armor Happenings

Armor Happenings is a group that supports various hospitality and fellowship needs of Armor. Armor Happenings meets monthly to discuss upcoming events. These monthly meetings are open to anyone interested in helping out. Hospitality and fellowship needs typically discussed include the following:

  1. Hosting visiting ministers
  2. Support efforts for spiritual encouragement
  3. Organize fellowship opportunities such as church fellowship meals
  4. Organize ladies events such as Craft Night, Ladies Tea, and Clean & Connect
  5. Provide meals for members who have recently been hospitalized

Summer Vacation Bible School (VBS)

During this week of fun, kids will enjoy playing outdoor games, making crafts, and singing as they learn about Jesus together. We look forward to this event each year. The week is usually packed with a theme for each day. We enjoy team color day, water day, wacky day, and shine day. We also finish out the week with a closing program where the kids get to share the things they have learned with their families.

H.O.P.E Ministry

H.O.P.E. stands for Helping Others through Prayer and Encouragement. The purpose of H.O.P.E. is to provide Christian care to those in our congregation in need of fellowship and encouragement when experiencing a difficult time in life such as grief, divorce, separation, job loss, loneliness, chronic/terminal illness, operation, or a physical separation from church. H.O.P.E. exists to glorify God and to show Christ’s love by listening, praying with them, and offering Scriptural encouragement during a time of need.
